Fall Scholarship Application & All Virginia Academic Team

The Fall Scholarship Application is a singular application that will apply PTK members to a variety of academic scholarships. This application also allows colleges to identify their state Academic Team members. The MECC chapter of PTK is currently seeking two students to serve as its representatives on the All Virginia Academic Team. Students must complete all parts of the PTK Fall Scholarship application, which can be accessed at the above link. This will involve completing an eligibility survey, writing an essay, submitting college transcripts, detailing academic and extracurricular activities (clubs, volunteer work, scholarships/recognitions), and requesting two letters of reference. Please note that this application process will take some time, and students should allow their references at least one full week to submit their letters of recommendation. The deadline to complete this process is Dec. 1, 2017.

Once all student applications are submitted, the MECC faculty advisor and college President will select the MECC members of the All Virginia Academic Team. These students will be recognized with medallions and a certificate at an Awards Luncheon in Richmond, VA in the spring of 2018. Transportation and all expenses to attend the luncheon will be provided by MECC’s PTK Chapter. Students who complete this process will also be in competition to win a variety of scholarships.
