The Clerical Assistant Certificate is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level responsibilities in universal office environments. Emphasis is placed on developing skills such as receiving visitors, filing, telephone etiquette, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, software applications, editing and proofreading documents along with contemporary office procedures.

Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the fundamental accounting concepts and principles that governs the accounting cycle.
- Create documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations using integrated software.
- Develop keyboarding and document production skills with emphasis on preparation of business documents.
- Develop business communication skills essential in proofreading and editing business documents.
