MECC Announces Extended Evening Enrollment Hours

 

BIG STONE GAP, Va. – Mountain Empire Community College (MECC) is making it easier for prospective and returning students to enroll for the Fall 2026 semester by offering extended evening hours on select Thursdays beginning this week.

Starting Thursday, July 16, MECC will remain open until 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:

 

During these extended hours, staff from Admissions, Advising, and Financial Aid will be available to assist students with every step of the enrollment process, including applications, course selection, financial aid questions, and registration.

 

Students who are unable to visit campus during traditional business hours are encouraged to stop by FOX Central in Holton Hall after 5:00 p.m. to receive one-on-one assistance and get ready for the fall semester.

As an added incentive, students who attend one of the extended enrollment evenings will be entered into a drawing for one of five $100 gift cards.

 

“Whether you are planning to begin college for the first time, returning to continue your education, or exploring new career opportunities, our team is here to help make the enrollment process as convenient as possible,” said MECC Dean of Student Success Lelia Bradshaw. “The extended hours are designed to provide greater flexibility for students and families with work and other daytime commitments.”
