208     NUR 208 – ACUTE MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING (6 Crs) – Focuses on the use of nursing process to provide care to individuals/families with acute medical or surgical problems or to prevent such problems. Includes math computational skills and basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care. Provides supervised learning experiences in cooperating agencies. Lecture 1-5 hours. Laboratory 2-15 hours. Total 7-16 hours per week. 5-6 credits. Pre-Requisites: Acceptance to RN Program; NUR 105, 108, 136, 137, 201, 205, 226, 236; MTH 126; ITE 115 or AST 232; BIO 141 or 231; BIO 142 or 232.
