201     NUR 201 – PSYCHIATRIC NURSING (3 Crs) – Focuses on the care of individuals/families requiring clinical treatment. Uses all components of the nursing process with increasing degrees of skill. Includes math computational skills and basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care, alterations in behavior, eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, chemical dependency and dementias. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies. Lecture 1-3 hours. Laboratory 2-9 hours. Total 5-10 hours per week. 3-4 credits. Pre-Requisites: Acceptance to RN Program; NUR 105, 108, 109, 136, 137, 226; MTH 126; ITE 115 or AST 232; BIO 141 or 231; BIO 142 or 232; PSY 231.
