115 ENV 115 WATER PURIFICATION (3 CR.) Explores principles of water purification including secretion, sedimentation, rapid sand filtration, chlorination, treatment, and prevention of disease. Studies fundamentals of bacteriology, mycology, and parasitology, emphasizing their relationships to community health. Includes soil, water, wastewater, and industrial microbiology. Reading Level Requisite ENG 4. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
