Big Stone Gap – Mountain Empire Community College will hold its 2016 Job Expo and College Transfer Fair on Wednesday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Goodloe Center, Phillips-Taylor Hall. More than 35 regional employers seeking qualified job applicants will participate. An estimated 20 colleges and universities representatives will also be on hand to speak with students regarding college transfer opportunities. The event is free and open to the public.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a resume and dress professionally. Employers attending this year’s event include Eastman Chemical Company, Micronic Technologies, Mountain States Health Alliance, Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Virginia State Police, Wallens Ridge State Prison, USP Lee, Food City, Appalachian Power, American Healthcare, and many more.
Transfer institutions attending the event include Milligan College, Lincoln Memorial University, Morehead State University, Emory & Henry College, University of Pikeville, Virginia Tech, ETSU, Alice Lloyd College and many others.
