Living Legends series features WW II veteran Colonel Glenn Frazier

Little did he know that as a young boy of 16 running away to join the army, he would find himself in the battle to save Bataan from the Japanese. Glenn Frazier was captured, marched north in the infamous Bataan Death march and spent three years struggling for his life in Japanese POW camps.

Mountain Empire Community College’s Living Legends series will feature Colonel Frazer at the October 26th program beginning at 11:00 am in the Goodloe Center.  Admission is free.

Frazier will be available both before and after the program for pictures and to autograph copies of his book, Hell’s Guest, which will be available for purchase.

Program coordinator Mike Strouth, Assistant Professor of History at MECC, sends a special invitation to all local veterans to attend. There will be a reception after Frazier’s presentation to honor all veterans.  New People’s Bank is sponsoring this event through the MECC Foundation.
