MECC Graduation Set for May 11

The 2006-2007 class of Mountain Empire Community College graduates will join together with faculty and staff for the college’s annual spring commencement on Friday, May 11. The outdoor ceremony will be held on campus at 6 p.m. Graduation speakers are MECC students Tamera Miles, Patricia Peacock, and Christopher Adam Robbins.

Miles will graduate with an Associate in Arts and Sciences Degree in Education, while Peacock and Robbins will graduate with Associate in Arts and Sciences Degrees in General Studies. Leah Hicks, MECC Professor Emeritus, will lead the graduation procession. Mathematics Professor Sylvia Brown, Manufacturing Professor Wendell Fowler, and Administrative Support Technology Professor Victoria Ratliff will serve as faculty marshals for the event.
