BIG STONE GAP, VA – Mountain Empire Community College will offer a number of new online courses this spring featuring specialized topics with accelerated and alternative scheduling opportunities.
The courses, which will be offered through a partnership with Northern Virginia Community College Extended Learning Institute (ELI), will include core subjects such as college composition, math, art, history, and economics. Specialty courses include literature of science fiction, beginning Chinese, photojournalism, and meteorology. Business and career technical courses include retail organization and management, fire behavior and combustion, environmental law, pharmacology for health information technology, and principles of emergency services.
