Career Advice and a Slice 

The purpose of the “Career Advice and a Slice” seminars is to promote awareness of Career Services and expose students to various career and school related activities.

Guest speakers and current faculty members will present information related to specific careers offered at Mountain Empire Community College.

Faculty members utilize “Career Advice and a Slice” to present information about new programs, technology changes, or training session for students on campus.

Career Advice and a Slice will be held in the Cyber Cafe.

Career Services and Student Services work together to present a series of workshops in the spring in hopes of further preparing students for life after graduation from Mountain Empire Community College. A variety of topics such as job search tools and services, resume and cover letters, wellness, physical fitness, personal safety, and money management were presented as past workshops.
