Tsunami Drive (2004-05) |
The Tsunami Drive was a SUCCESS thanks to all those who made donations totalling up to $632.00. |
| Clean the Creek | Served with Scott Co. Soil & Water Conservation staff and volunteers to clean Cowans Creek, 2007; portion of Clinch River, 2006. |
Book Drives/Book Swaps |
The book drives/book swaps have been a HUGE SUCCESS this year with drive totals over 3,000 books and growing! Children in each school receive books to take home for their very own. Remaining books are donated to local social agencies and other non-profit and faith-based groups. |
Habitat for Humanity Build |
In Rockbridge County, VA the MECC AmeriCorps group teamed up with other VA Region AmeriCorps groups as well as the Habitat for Humanity group in helping to build two homes in the Buena Vista area, as well as clean up and prepare for renovations on a building. |

We helped with the "Big Build" and returned to prep and seed the lawn after the house was complete. |
